Submission Guidelines

Tiny Seed Publishing, founded in the UK, publishes children’s books that are both imaginative and intriguing. We recommend that the guidelines below are taken into consideration prior to any submission of manuscripts.

What We Are Looking For

We consider submissions from anyone, provided they are suitable for our target audience – children aged 3 to 9.

Writers:

We place an emphasis on discovering new talent and supporting unpublished authors. We are also open to offering publishing opportunities to emerging children’s book writers.

We accept submissions from established authors and are happy to work together to publish further works.

Illustrators:

We welcome illustrators to submit samples of their work via email as we are interested in working with a range of illustrators.

Illustrators are also encouraged to write their own picture book stories and submit them to us.

Initial Assessment

We require the following information to be attached to the email submission:

  • One sentence summarising the book.
  • A synopsis of no longer than 300 words.
  • For authors, please submit a full manuscript. We prefer not to receive artwork in submissions from authors.
  • For author-illustrators, please submit a full manuscript and artwork.

Do not forget to include the following information:

  • Title of your manuscript.
  • Age level of readers.
  • Any relevant biographical information, such as previously published work or special expertise.

Submission Policy

Submissions are only accepted by email to the following address: submissions@tinyseedpublishing.com.

An acknowledgement email will be sent to you automatically. If you are concerned that your submission has not been received, or for confirmation of receipt, please email us at books@tinyseedpublishing.com.

Hard copy submissions are not accepted and Tiny Seed Publishing will not accept responsibility for any loss or damage to your work.

Process

Upon receipt of your submission, our editors will assess the suitability of your work. This process may take up to three months.

If there is no correspondence from us within three months, please assume that we have not selected your work for publication. There will be no further contact from us. Regretfully, we are unable to provide feedback for unsuccessful submissions.

If your submission is successful, we will contact you via email within three months.
